H. Brooks and Company has been a leader in fruit ripening for more than 15 years. As one of the first U.S. companies to invest in state-of-the-art pressurized ripening rooms, H. Brooks and Company takes a methodical and scientific approach to ripening that sets it apart and allows its customers to benefit from more usable fruit.
The companys 110,000-sq. ft. innovative warehouse is kept at various pre-determined temperature and humidity levels that keep all products in the best possible storage conditions. This environment helps to maximize freshness, enhance fruit flavors and ensure that the cold chain is maintained properly. Additionally, the fruit is tested before and after the ripening process to guarantee quality.
H. Brooks and Company is able to precondition fruit, such as pears, plums, nectarines, peaches, kiwi, mangos, pears, avocados, tomatoes and bananas, because of specially modified ripening rooms. The company also features Dole bananas and provides the widest variety of bananas available. A two-color banana program is available that can increase sales by more than 30 percent for its customers.
